I've decided to record my adventures in this blog so that my family and friends can keep track of me. Especially during my trip around the world on Semester At Sea.

The Itinerary:
I depart Jersey on 8/28/08 bound for Nassuau, Bahamas, and embark on my voyage around the world on 8/29/08. The voyage concludes on 12/14/08 and will dock in Miami, FL. From there I will head to Orlando, FL until 12/18/08 to visit with my Disney Family and then return home to NJ

40 days left...

With 40 days left to go before I leave NJ, it seems as though my to do list is getting longer and my bank account is shrinking even before I leave for the trip. (I really wish it was the other way around though, to do list shrinking and my bank account growing.)

In preparation for the trip, I've gotten all of my shots (more then I've ever had in my life), purchased my back pack (75L worth), put a map of the world on my bedroom wall (to study before I leave and then bring it with me), bought a new waterproof camera, selected my pre-sale trips and started to load baskets with what needs to be packed. I've made all of the necessary appointments (drs, dentists and hair cut) and am counting down to them as well, (only because it means that I'm getting that much closer to the trip!) :)

While I get more and more excited everyday about the trip, I'm starting to get a little worried - as I usually do before I begin a new adventure, that something is going to go wrong that will prevent me from going on the trip. I don't have any idea what could do that, so I'm just trying to plan for everything.

Wish we could hop in your backpack, but we'll settle for the blog which is a great idea! It will be a treat for all of us. Please remember no matter where you are you will always be close in our hearts. God bless!
